Sloane stepped a little closer, her hands clasped behind her back.
“So… you’re staying up just to check if I’ve developed psychological trauma?” she asked softly.
Dominic’s eyes flicked up.
A tiny pause, barely noticeable, but it was there.

His tone was firm, disciplined like a teacher lecturing a stubborn student.
