*CORA* In the meeting room was the vice president,Mr Smith not Tristan. “Ma’am,I’m sorry for keeping you waiting.Let’s talk about the specific cooperation plan first.Our president is very busy right now but he said he might drop by later.” Mr Smith was very hospital.Afterall,no one knew that Tristan and I had gotten divorced. Without saying anything else,I went straight to the point and sent the plan to everyone present. “The following plan is a project that our company wants to cooperate with the Godoy Group.I’ll introduce the specific content to you now.” Since I was willing to work hard,the people around me looked at me with admiration.They must have thought I was playing tricks but I had to prove to everyone that I was more than capable of taking over my father’s company. Taking a deep breath,J stood up and walked out of the meeting room. I frowned when I saw Phoebe walking up to me with a coy smile and a cup of coffee in her hand. I hated this woman very much.And I was in a very bad mood to know that I would keep running into her anytime I came to this company because apparently,she and Tristan can’t spend any second apart. She cautiously walked up to me and stood in front of me. I ignored her.I thought it was the greatest compromise for me to just ignore her.Afterall,Phoebe was fun of provoking me. “Cora,you look like you need a cup of coffee.” I moved to the side to walk away but she stopped me. Looking at her coldly,I smiled and said. “Phoebe,you seem to be very free,is your job here to make coffee for everyone?” Phoebe didn’t have any position in the company,so of course she had nothing to do but to make coffee. And I had a feeling that,she was all over this company and all over Tristan to keep an eye on him.She was doing all she could to make sure no woman comes close to him. It was sick. I knew I was in love with Tristan and I did try to please him but I never went this far because this was pure madness. “Would you like some coffee?”Phoebe asked me,stretching her steaming hot coffee to me. “No.I don’t like hot coffee when I work.”I replied. Seeing Phoebe rolled her eyes,I added. “Eugene doesn’t like hot coffee either.He prefers iced coffee.” I saw anger flash in her eyes. It was clear she didn’t know that. Did she even know him at all? With a vicious look in her eyes,Phoebe said in a cold voice. “Cora,are you trying to rub it in my face then you know him more than I do?!Well,it doesn’t matter now.It is me that he wants.So no matter what you know and no matter what you’ve done for him when you two were married,he’ll still choose me!He’ll always choose me.” Looking down at the documents,I moved closer to her and said. “Okay,great,he’ll always choose you.Congrats!You must feel so happy.You have him now but what I don’t understand is why you still need to harass me because of him?Why do you need to emphasize that you own him now?Are you so insecure?Or does he truly give you no assurance that you really own him now?”I mocked. I walked passed her and stopped when she suddenly let out a scream. Turning around,I saw that she had spilled the hot coffee on herself. The cup was on the floor now. I gasped. This woman was nuts! Phoebe smirked at me. “I guess I would just make him give me more assurance today.Cora,even since I was a child,I always get what I what.”She whispered to me. When she saw someone passing by,she immediately lowered her head,making a gasping sound. I just stared at her in confusion.When she looked up,her big eyes were filled with tears. “Cora…I…why…why would you pour the coffee on me?It hurts.”She cried out. I shook my head.”You need help,Phoebe.” She was such a good actress as she was crying profusely now. How did she summon so much tears all of a sudden? And I can’t believe she’s setting me up again?! Seriously,what does Tristan see in her? Couldn’t he see how manipulative and evil she was?! “What’s going on?”Three employees came over. They knew who Phoebe was as she had been coming to see their CEO for days now. And I felt she had been buying them stuff or making coffee for them to make them like her. I didn’t do all that and I wasn’t surprised to see some of them already speaking ill of me. “What’s going on here?!”A voice sounded in a hallway. I sighed seeing Tristan approaching.He stared at me and then at Phoebe. “What happened?” “I…I heard Cora was here for business.I made coffee for everyone as usual,but when I gave a cup to her,she…she spilled the content of me,saying she hated me and she wished I could just die.My chest hurts,Tristan,it hurts a lot..”She cried out. Tristan turned to face me. I briefly thought about explaining myself but I knew he wouldn’t believe me so I didn’t want to waste my time. I walked past him but he grabbed hold of my hand. “You’re just going to leave?” “I’m done here.I’ll come talk about the project some other day.” “Do you not even feel guilty about hurting people,Cora?!”He shot at me. “I can not feel guilty about something I didn’t do.” “So who spilled coffee on Phoebe?” “She spilled coffee on herself.” “You expect me to believe that?After you had attacked her at my house the other day?!” “Believe whatever you want then.”I tugged his arm away from me and stormed off.
