Gasps rippled through the group. The music stopped. Conversations died mid-sentence.
Caleb clutched his jaw, staring wide-eyed at Lucian. "What the hell is your problem? Who are you?"
Lucian didn't flinch. His chest heaved as he stepped protectively in front of me, possessiveness searing in his glare.
"She is my fiancée," he growled, loud enough for everyone around the bonfire to hear. "Don't touch her again."
My eyes widened in disbelief. My voice caught in my throat.
Caleb's expression twisted with shock. "Fiancée? She didn't say anything about that!"
"Because she didn't owe you an explanation," Lucian snapped.
The surrounding crowd buzzed with whispers.
"Did he say fiancée?"
"Wait, Anna's engaged?"

Caleb, humiliated and angry, stepped forward. "You can't just walk in and throw punches like some—"
