Chapter 1848
Lucas comforted her. “It’ll be fine. You’ll need some time to change your thinking of him from a brother to a man. Bella, take your time and think about it slowly.”
That was not really the problem. Rather, Isabelle still had to confirm her feelings.
She did have feelings for him, but was it the same kind of love her Father described to her?
Not only that, but did he like her as well?
Those were still unanswered questions.
Isabelle did not want to think too much about it. She planned to face them whenever it came. It was more important to live the moment instead.
For example, she was going to meet Cedar, and after she met him…
Isabelle secretly thought in her mind that she wanted to be more intimate with him.
He was too handsome to her liking. Besides, it was not like she never kissed him before.
However, she became shy again when she thought about it.
“Brother Lucas, I’ll find my answer eventually,” replied Isabelle.
…
It was snowing heavier by the time Isabelle arrived at Cedar’s villa. She went to the second floor and opened the door to Cedar’s room.
She saw that the doctor was still treating his wounds and bandaging them for him. Meanwhile, Cedar had already lost consciousness, and he was not awake yet.
The doctor told her that he would be asleep until nighttime.
It was boring for her because no one was there to talk to her.
Isabelle waited patiently as the doctor continued treating Cedar’s wounds. Meanwhile, she was focused on Cedar’s handsome face. She liked his looks just like how she used to like Nash.
She liked both of them, but it was different.
She only liked Nash’s looks, but her liking for Cedar was different. She enjoyed calling him ‘Big Brother’, and she especially loved it when he bought snacks for her.
Isabelle loved it when their breath entangled between their lips and tongue. She loved the great sense of security Cedar gave her.
He was a huge and steady mountain to her. She could relax her body entirely and rest against him. She had never experienced such confident trust in another person.
She guessed that it was another kind of love. There were so many things about him that she loved!
Isabelle felt sad for Cedar when she saw his body littered with wounds. She stayed with him until nighttime.
After that, she went downstairs and sat in the living room. She asked Tom if he had any snacks, but Tom informed her, “I’m sorry. Mrs. Schick told us, the bodyguards, not to bring any snacks with us.
Isabelle had always known about that, but she got so hungry and totally threw the fact in the back of her mind.
She whined with a pitiful look, “I’m hungry.”
“Miss, I’ll get someone to cook for you.”
Isabelle said uninterestedly, “I have no appetite.”
“But Mrs. Schick told us…”
Tom was obedient to her Mother’s instructions. When he mentioned Mrs. Schick again, Isabelle quickly stopped him and said, “Forget it. I’ll go to sleep!”
Isabelle turned around and went back upstairs. She wanted to go back to her room initially, but she changed her mind and went to Cedar’s room instead.
The man slept on his huge bed, and he looked as charming as usual.
She went over and sat on her knees on the floor. She muttered, “Big Brother, when will you wake up? Tom won’t let me eat any snacks. I’m so hungry!”
Cedar had a dream.
In his dream, someone called him Big Brother repeatedly and demanded candies from him. She looked like a two-year-old girl.
“Big Brother, Bella loves you.”
Cedar opened his eyes. He turned his head and saw someone lying beside him. He pursed his lips as he shifted his gaze away to stare at the ceiling.
However, his palm quickly held the back of her hand.
She mumbled in her dreams as she said, “Big Brother, I’m hungry.”
