Isabelle was fearful about what Zachary said. Her heart throbbed in pain as she was terrified and confused about what Zachary tried to tell her. However, the answer was just so simple. “Lil Lion, I didn’t say anything. I’m just answering your question. It’s your own issue on how you think about it. I have only one piece of advice for you no matter what you decide. “It’ll be fine as long as you go with your heart. You should follow what your heart and feelings say no matter what you plan to do. Of course, that will be your husband’s responsibility in the future.” Isabelle’s father had never spoken to her like that. She suddenly felt a little emotional and touched. That was when she understood that she finally grew up. However, those were not the most important to her. Isabelle went along with what Zachary said and asked him, “Dad, you just said that I can follow my heart no matter what I want to do. I have something to tell you, but I’m afraid you'll refuse. What should I do?” Zachary raised his brow. He suddenly realized that he just dug a hole for himself. He pursed his lips and said softly, “I’ll promise you.” Isabelle said happily, “Really?” “Well, as long as you’re happy.” “But I still haven’t told you what I plan to do.” After Zachary plucked the Eustoma flowers, he stood up and said, “Just tell me now.” “I want to have a long break or resign from the Junior Class! I don’t feel like doing any research for now! Daddy, I want to do what I love.” As expected, Zachary dug his own hole. Zachary did not answer her immediately. Instead, he asked, “Isn’t research your passion? You only joined the Junior Class because you wanted to. Since when did I force it on you? You’ve already completed your tasks in the Junior Class though.” “Dad, please?” Isabelle stared at Zachary eagerly. The man smiled gently and patted her head. He said, “Sure, you can. Lil Lion, you’re my daughter. I’m supportive of anything you want to do. However, I have a condition for you. You must bring the bodyguards along wherever you go. Don’t let your Mom worry, and you need to contact her frequently.” He granted her wish, but he also considered that Caroline might be worried. Zachary had always been meticulous and thorough at doing things. Isabelle hugged Zachary and said, “Thanks, Dad.” “Okay. Go and help your Mother now.” … Caroline was still busy with the preparations for her children’s birthday party. Isabelle hopped around happily as she went back inside. Isabelle told Caroline, “Mom, Big Brother came back to Wu City.” Caroline was puzzled and asked, “You knew that he’s back. Since when has your relationship with your Big Brother Cedar improved so much?” Everyone referred to Cedar as her Big Brother Cedar whenever they spoke to her. Isabelle blinked and explained, “I met him earlier in the shopping mall. Big Brother Cedar was the one who bought the diamonds jewelry for me. My bodyguards brought them back home earlier. By the way, I saw Big Brother Cedar on a date with a woman!” Caroline was surprised to hear that. She asked in delight, “Really?” “Yup. I think her name is Megumi…” “So it’s her. I remember that child. She’s Cedar’s classmate. I met her a few times previously, but I rarely saw her since then.” Isabelle was unhappy about what Caroline said. She said, “How is she a child? She looks a few years older than Big Brother. Only a person like Vivi Gregg is like a child.” Vivi Gregg was Lance’s youngest daughter. Vivi was only five years old and had three older brothers. Her two oldest brothers were a pair of twins. However, their looks were identical because they were fraternal twins. They were younger than Isabelle by three years. The twins were only fifteen that year. Vivi’s third brother was twelve years old. He was Lance and Yara’s third child from Yara’s second pregnancy. They wanted a daughter at first, but they got a son instead. Yara was very troubled with her three sons in the family. Only Lance was enjoying it. About seven or eight years later, Yara accidentally became pregnant again. She was already in her early thirties by then. Initially, she did not want another child. However, she wanted a daughter after seeing how adorable Isabelle was. That was why she gritted her teeth and gave birth again. In her third pregnancy, her fourth child was a daughter. Yara was overjoyed with her daughter’s arrival and named her Violet Gregg. Lance Gregg’s daughter—Violet Gregg. She was inspired by the warm wind that came with the scent of lavenders as the summer-blooming flower blossomed magnificently. Yara felt like her daughter was just like the warm summer wind then. Lance wanted to name his daughter Viola at first, but Yara disagreed. She simply felt like the name Violet was nicer. “You’re simply giving others nicknames again,” said Caroline. “But Vivi Gregg sounds nice! She likes it when I call her that! Vivi is coming over for the day after too. I bought her some presents and kept them in my room. By the way, where’s Sis Jade?!” Hearing that, Caroline replied, “She went out with your brother a few days ago. Your brother said they will be back the day after tomorrow for the party.” “Brother went out with Sis Jade?” “Yeah. I don’t know what those two children are doing.” What else could they do?! Isabelle did not respond. She only smiled and remained silent about it. “Isabelle, why are you smiling like that?” “It’s nothing. I’m going back to my room.” “Go ahead. I’ll call you when it’s dinner time. I have to contact your Big Brother Cedar later. Also, your Uncle Joshua is coming over.” “It’ll be so awkward with Big Brother here.” Caroline was confused and asked, “Why will it be awkward?” Isabelle quickly denied, “It’s nothing.” Isabelle happily strolled upstairs and went back to her room. When she lay down on her bed, she started thinking about what Lucas and Zachary told her. Lucas always told her about how lonely Cedar was. Indeed, she did feel that he was a lonely person. However, she felt a little strange about her feelings after listening to Zachary’s explanation. She kept thinking about it the whole time, but she could not figure out an answer. She wanted to ask Amaya for advice, but she was worried about disturbing her and Raphael.
