Seraphina's POV
Three days after Callista proposed the idea of a formal introduction to the Nightveil Pack, I sat at the kitchen table with a cup of cold tea, staring at the stack of books on Pack politics and traditions that Kaelos had given me.
"Still nervous?" asked Kaelos, sitting across from me with his laptop open. He was sending an email to Alpha Marcus to arrange a formal meeting.
"Nervous is an understatement," I replied, flipping through the pages of a book titled "Pack Hierarchy and Integration Protocols" that felt very dry and formal. "I feel like I'm studying for an exam that will determine my entire life."
Callista entered the kitchen, already dressed neatly for work. "You'll be fine," she said as she poured coffee. "Besides, you have an advantage that most outsiders don't have."
