Rowan Blackwood felt a wave of nostalgia as Marielle Duvall suddenly shifted into a playful, childlike demeanor.
He instinctively glanced at her and noticed the faint blush on her cheeks. Instantly, all his frustration and discomfort vanished, as if time had rolled back five years—to when Marielle lived only for him, when her every thought and affection belonged to him.
Rowan's eyes softened, and even the corners of his lips curled upward. Clearly, his mood had lifted.
The lobby manager, noticing this subtle change in Rowan, immediately said, "There's still a presidential suite available. I'll have someone escort Mr. Blackwood upstairs."
"And prepare some light meals—easy to digest, with good flavor."
