When she heard the news from the private doctor, Lydia Moore couldn’t hide the excitement in her eyes. “Since when?”
“It’s been a month.”
“Perfect! Make sure you take good care of that baby. Don’t worry, every penny I promised you will be paid.”
The moment she hung up, Lydia let out a long breath and leaned back on the couch. She glanced at Henry Hawthorne, who was still brooding, then nudged his waist with her toe.
