Chapter 823
Anya’s POV:
Moments later, the security chief rushed to work with a group of security guards.
Some people hurriedly call the police.
When the security chief arrived with his man, he was stunned by the scene before him.
Those in black suits beat those who wearing suits until they wailed like ghosts and howled like wolves. All of them were injured.
With all the commotion, Darcy and Carson held back and didn’t kill anyone. Liam’s people would have been beaten to that if they hadn’t.
“Stop fighting, stop fighting! Let’s talk things out!” The security chief didn’t enter the fight and only tried to stop it.
“We called the police. They'll all be here soon. Stop it!”
“Darcy, stop fighting!”
When Darcy heard this, he waved his hand and stopped his subordinates.
Liam’s thirty and forty people were all injured and bruised.
Lola’s POV:
Liam and I were even angrier and anxious.
Evan’s bodyguards were not to be underestimated.
We have brought so many bodyguards, but they were all knocked out. Even Liam had received two blows to the neck. Half of his face was as swollen as high.
Anya looked at me and Miller coldly and said rigidly, “Regardless of whoever's relation to Evan. I won’t allow anyone to take him away. If you know what’s good for you, leave quickly.”
Lime and I were so angry that we panted heavily when we heard this.
It seemed impossible to take Evan by force.
Evan’s bodyguard had excellent fighting skills.
The over 30 people we bought were useless against them. Even if we got 300 or 400 people, Evan’s bodyguards would defeat them all.
“Anya, what right do you have to stop us from taking Evan? You must be guilty. How is Evan doing?”
“He is still recovering. If you make a scene now, it will affect his recovery!”
“Hmph! To put it bluntly, Evan has been like this. There is now he will recover well.”
“We will see him now and ask the doctor to come? We want to ask him in person.”
“I told you, he is recovering very well. You don’t have to worry.”
“Anya, aren’t you going too far? You don’t want us to take him, and now you don’t even want us to see him.”
“That’s right. Why can’t we see him? Evan is my cousin. I have the right to know his recovery!”
“When he gets a little better, I will let you see him! Right now, he is still unstable. You can’t go in and disturb him.”
I pursed my lips, “Didn’t you just say he was recovering very well? Why are you switching and saying he is unstable?”
At this moment, the hospital director and police arrived.
A police officer said sternly, “What are you all doing? Why are you fighting?”
“Oh, this is a personal conflict.”
“You can’t find here whether or not it's a private conflict. Everyone goes to the police station.”
“This group here, and that group over there. All of you go to the police station.”
“Director, you came at the right time. What’s going on with Mr. Carter? Can he wake up or not? Tell me!”
“Uh, about that. It's hard to say at that moment. It depends on his recovery in the next few days.”
When I heard this, I became more aggressive, “Look, the director says he is uncertain, yet you still lie to us.”
“We have to get to the bottom of this today, in front of the police. No matter what, we have to know the truth about Mr. Carter.”
When the director heard this, he looked troubled and said carefully, “Miss Walter, why don’t we let them go and take a look at Mr. Carter? Mr. Miller and Mr. Carter’s biological uncle. He has the right to know about Mr. Carter’s condition.”
Anya thought for a few seconds and compromised, “Alright, then you must be careful. Don’t make too much noise.”
“Hmph, I don’t need you to remind me!”
The hospital director found surgical gowns and disinfected them before bringing us into the ward.
The door of the ward pushed open.
Liam and I didn’t care. We couldn’t wait to enter the intensive care unit!
On the hospital bed, Evan was still lying lifelessly. There was a ventilator on his nose, an IV drip on his left arm, and a nutrient solution in his right arm.
His chest was connected to the electrocardiogram and a catheter. It was clear that he was verging on death!
“Look, what did I say? Mr. Carter won’t wake up at all. You are taking care of Evan now because you want to control his empire. Let me tell you. No way will that happen!”
When Anya heard this, she was even more furious. “He is still breathing. He is still conscious. He will certainly wake up.”
“Mr Miller, he is your nephew. I believe you hope he wakes up! If you take him away now, it will risk his life!”
“Liam’s face darkened. “Anya, I don’t like what you are saying. Evan is my nephew. Of course, I want him to be well. I am picking him up now to find a better hospital. I don’t want to watch him die!”
When Anya heard this, she sternly rejected, saying, “No, he is seriously injured now. He can’t be transferred.”
“You think we can't do it just because you say so? Let me tell you, Evan has no parents, no siblings, and no other relatives. Now that his life is in danger, all his funeral matters should be handled by his uncle.”
“Don’t say anything else, no matter what you do, I won’t let him transfer to another hospital!”
“That’s not up to you. We can’t put Evan’s life in your hands…”
Liam and I said aggressively.
When I turned round, I suddenly saw Evan’s eyes open.
His eyes were dark and sullen. They looked empty. He looked like an average person who had opened his eyes and was lying on the bed.
