LUCIAN’S POV
“Sir, the numbers from the Milan project are in,” Victor said, walking beside me as we moved down the corridor.
“I'II look through them later,” I replied, my eyes scanning through the tablet in my hands.
It's been one week. One week of working day and night both at home and at work.
There's too much on my plate lately. Meetings, untouched files, and endless reports. And ever since that damn event Oliver’s smug face had been crawling under my skin like a damn rash.
“Lucian, it's good to see again.”
“Still trying to play catch-up huh?”
“Maybe someday you'd make it to our league.”
He didn't say all that, but he didn't have to. His expression said it all.
The nerve he has.
Just because he ran a fancy Academy with a few politicians in his pocket, he thought he could look down on me like that? Me?.
