ELORA'S POV
The sky was still a little dim when I quietly left Lucian's Mansion. The hallway lights were still off, Nora was still asleep, and Lucian…well, he hadn't come home. He didn't show up last night, not even at dawn this morning. A part of me wanted to wait—to demand an explanation, to confront whatever mess I'd seen in that video Selene sent…but that would only make me look jealous, and I had work to attend to this morning. I wasn't about to keep rearranging my life for a man who couldn't even bother to show up for his family.
I'd meant to talk to him about Nora’s new school enrollment—a pretty important matter at the moment. But apparently, he had better things to do, like rescuing his little girlfriend at some high profile party while the rest of us sat around waiting.
I drove home, got dressed, and headed straight for the Academy. No time to waste.
