ELORA'S POV The silence in my apartment was almost deafening. I haven't been able to get Lucas out of my head for days. What Lucian did to him—Lucas's expression when he received that call—kept replaying in head. Lucas doesn't deserve that at all. Not from Lucian. And the worst part? I haven't said a word to him since. I haven't answered his calls, hadn't replied to his texts either. I sighed, rubbing my temples as I sat at the edge of my bed, staring at the sunlight peeking through the curtains. It's summer now. Even the air felt lighter, freer…but all I felt was guilt.
