Alysia's POV
One would think that with the fact that Avianka and the others had forgiven me, the rest of the crowd would the same too, but after the high of my family members forgiving me finally washed away, I couldn't help but notice the chill in the room. The entire hall was quiet, and a million and one eyes were turned to me all at once. Even when I tried to avoid them, I knew it was impossible to steer clear of all of them at once.
Anywhere I turned, there was a pair of eyes staring me down. They bored holes into my body, like they were slowly peeling off the layers of my skin, in search of answers. I knew not everyone would take my return in good faith, but this was too much, and like I didn't already have enough issues on my hands,something else followed.
