Chapter 132
Alysia's POV
My eyes darted from Damon to his phone, before stopping at his face again. Somewhere in between the phone call between him and Charles, he'd somewhat muted the conversation. They were still communicating, but for the life of me, I couldn't hear what they were talking about anymore.
Like that wasn't enough, Damon had even excused himself just so he would be able to talk to him freely.
With my hands folded across my chest, I glanced at Damon in the corner. He had his back to me, and no matter how hard I tried to catch a glimpse of his face, it just didn't work. A small part of me had thought that if I could at least see his face, then maybe, just maybe, I would be able to read his lips, but unfortunately, I guess I wasn't lucky to find out.
I guess not a lot of time passed before he returned to me, because the thoughts had barely made its way to my mind before the sound of someone approaching broke through my thoughts. I raised my head again, just in time to see Damon stoppi
