The world spun around Damon. Dark circles tinted the corner of his eyes, and for a moment, he felt like his knees were about to give way underneath him. “Alpha.” Damon's name echoed in the distance, but for the life of him, he couldn't bring himself to focus on the direction where his name was coming from. His vision blurred slightly, and no matter how hard he blinked, he still couldn't make out anything. “Alpha?” Damon didn't respond. He couldn't. Not when he'd just heard one of the worst news of his life. Alysia didn't make it? What the hell did the doctor even mean by that? “Alpha Damon?” The doctor called out again, and this time, Damon heard him very clearly. “Are you okay?” “No.” Damon huffed. “You can't be serious. What do you mean Alysia didn't make it? You're joking, right?” “I'm sorry.” The doctors voice dropped to a low whisper. “We really did try our best to save her, but due to the severity of her condition…” “What condition?” Damon roared in his face. He didn't want to be
