Chapter 119
Alysia's POV
I was anxious, and I had no idea why. Or wait, I did, but even that didn't help me one bit. A million and one emotions swirled in the pit of my stomach, but the more I tried to shake them off, the more they came back in an even bigger blow.
My eyes glanced from Damon at the driver's seat, to the window next to me. Outside, the lush scenery whizzed past. While I was a lover of nature and would take any chance I got to sight see the world in all its beauty, I couldn't bring myself to do so. The green trees that blew past only reminded me of the fact that we'd been driving for hours, with no clear destination in sight.
Okay, maybe hours was a little far fetched but you got the point.
“Are you okay, Alysia?’ Damon's voice from next to me was all it took to pull me out of my thoughts. “You look restless.”
“I'm fine.” I huffed, while I fiddled with stray threads from the edges of Damon's shirt. The answer to his question hung on the tip of my tongue, but I couldn't bring myself
