Chapter 24-02
"I can't believe he did that!" I said in between my laughs as we walked into the house. The lights were off, making the room dark. The moonlight shone brightly through the windows, casting shadows in the room.
The smile slipped from Juniper's face and we replaced with confusion. Her eyebrows furrowed.
"What's wrong?"I asked her curiously.
"Something's off," she muttered, narrowing her eyes as she scanned the room.
I frowned as the both of us walked further into the house and closed the door behind us. It was eerily quiet.
"Is Damien not here?"
Instead of answering my question, she asked another. "Is it a full moon tonight?" She looked nervous as she fidgeted with the bags in her hands. I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Uh, I think so."
"Shit," she cursed under her breath.
