Not only am I willing to risk my life for him, but my only family too." Nova responded, "So, you two were playing mind games with me?" Raymond answered, "How could we collect evidence of your crimes without first gaining your trust and getting into your inner circle?" Then, Nova belatedly realized something. "So, when I made you deceive Abigail into getting into my car, Xander knew about it in advance?" Raymond replied, "Of course." Nova chuckled. "Back then, I thought he was a romantic fool. Turns out, he used his wife to place you around me." Raymond responded, "He didn't use Abigail. He carried out this plan with a hundred percent guarantee of Abigail's safety." Nova replied, "A hundred percent? How could he be so sure that I wouldn't do anything to her before he came?" Raymond remained silent. Nova continued saying, "In the end, he just didn't love her enough. And because of that, Abigail became a pawn he could use at will. He didn't consider whether she'd get hurt in his plan because he didn't love her enough." Raymond said, "What's the point of saying all this now?" Nova replied, "Why would it be pointless? If I fight against him again, I'll never believe that he's someone capable of love." To Raymond, Xander was deeply devoted. He did not want to continue arguing with Nova.
