Chapter 194 Twisting the Blame
Demi's eyes narrowed in disbelief. If it weren't a teacher speaking, she'd have fired off a string of curses. Instead, she forced herself to stay calm.
"Ms. Pope, my name is Demi Moone!" she repeated through gritted teeth. She despised the surname "Pitt" and would never let anyone call her that.
Rebecca scoffed dismissively. "Whatever your name is, it doesn't matter. You're about to leave our school anyway!" Her tone dripped with cold derision. "Don't waste our time. Get out now! You're holding everyone up."
Demi glanced at the books neatly arranged on the windowsill, then at the mess of garbage littering her desk and sticky soda stains on her chair. Pointing at her books, she demanded, "Ms. Pope, where am I supposed to put my books? My desk is a disaster!"
"Just leave them there. What, are you worried someone might steal them?" Rebecca barked, her anger flaring.
Demi's voice turned icy. "I don't know if someone might steal them, but I'm worried that some spiteful jerk will dump
