Bethany didn't get home until ten, having spent the evening dealing with the ticket arrangements. She had just slipped off her shoes in the entryway when she heard movement from the kitchen. "Silas?" she called out uncertainly. Silas was leaning casually against the counter, a bottle of mineral water fresh from the fridge in his hand, its surface already fogged with condensation. He looked as though he'd just finished showering, a bathrobe draped loosely over his body, the open collar revealing firm, defined abs. He twisted the cap open and took a drink, his Adam's apple bobbing as a thin trail of water slid down his jaw, traced his abdomen, and disappeared beneath the robe. His tone was as languid and teasing as ever. "Back already, Miss Workaholic?" The mischief in his eyes was unmistakable. Bethany walked over and cleared her throat. "About that… Thank you. Oscar told me that you had someone step in to help." Silas' brows lifted slightly. Before he could reply, she held out
