Joyce dragged herself out of the hospital, feeling like she'd lost everything. The full moon lit up the night sky. Suddenly, she remembered meeting Nigel on a night exactly like this one. Nigel was holding a dying kitten in his arms. All the vet clinics nearby were closed, and he was frantically searching for anyone who could help. He finally found a vet clinic that was open and sprinted toward it, not paying attention to where he was going. That was when he bumped into Joyce. Nigel apologized again and again.
