Jack didn't move a muscle. Instead, one of the burly men behind him suddenly swung a foot and kicked the guard in the stomach. The guard screamed and collapsed to the ground. The other guards saw what happened and were outraged. "You're screwed!"
The guards raised their batons, ready to bring them crashing down on Jack and his men. However, Jack had come prepared. He had several dozen men with him, while there were only seven or eight guards. Jack had a clear advantage in numbers.
However, what surprised Jack was that every single guard turned out to have a history of service in the military. Each could handle two opponents with ease. Caught off guard, Jack's men stumbled and flailed under the first wave.
